You'll take full accountability for the branded and own-label within Sainsbury's, delivering against ambitious sales and profit targets.
Key responsibilities include:
* P&L Ownership: Lead and manage the entire P&L, ensuring accurate forecasting and the delivery of monthly sales and profit targets.
* Customer Strategy: Build and execute a winning short and long-term strategy for growth, becoming the key voice of the customer internally.
* Relationship Building: Develop strong, collaborative relationships with key Sainsbury's buyers. Handle challenging conversations with confidence, turning obstacles into opportunities.
* Execution Excellence: Negotiate and implement growth-driving initiatives, combining creativity with sound commercial judgement.
* Insight-Led Decisions: Conduct store visits, analysing competitor activity and adjacent categories to build robust plans that deliver results.
* Stakeholder Management: Set high standards for internal reporting, performance reviews, and communication with cross-functional teams.
Essential skills and experience include:
* Proven experience in a customer-facing commercial role, ideally within FMCG
* Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage tough conversations
* A proactive, solutions-oriented approach under pressure
* Branded product experience in a fast-moving environment
