Our Middleton Park, Leeds service offers specialized, person-centred support for adults with Autistic Spectrum conditions, additional learning disabilities, and mental health needs. In this role, you'll provide person-centred care and support to tenants, enabling them to participate in all aspects of daily life and enjoy a variety of activities. Your positive communication skills and ability to demonstrate unconditional positive regard for the people we support are essential. The service features a high level of involvement from service users and their families, and we are eager to enhance this further. As a Key Worker or Co-Key Worker, you'll have the opportunity to collaborate with the individual's wider support network to ensure they achieve their aspirations. You'll embrace all aspects of the role, including personal care, domestic tasks, social engagement, and community activities like walking, swimming, and going to the gym. While prior experience is beneficial, an engaging, creative, and person-centred approach is highly valued. Your personal skills and interests, such as sports, creative arts, music, and cooking, will enrich the lives of our service users. We provide comprehensive training and mentoring to develop your understanding of autism and autism support provision. Additional training specific to the needs of the service users you support will also be provided. Flexibility is required, as the role includes working on a rota that covers evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins, with enhanced payments for sleep-in shifts.
