Senior Software Developer
About The Role
A fantastic opportunity to work with a dedicated skilled team to improve our telephone interpretation platform and thereby provide better services and support for people in need.
Improve and drive best software practices in a growing and quickly evolving Tech department and company. You will be working closely with our current development team and our customers to drive our products and services and to facilitate continuous improvement.
You will be responsible for owning the development of the applications which facilitate the creation & management of new features and bug fixes and working closely with our customers to gather requirements and feed that back into our agile development teams.
We have a great international open and friendly team at Dals who work very closely with one another to get the job done.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
* Become an integral member of the team building the backend, frontend services, and core applications which will be the basis for new features for our telephone interpreting service.
* Manage the backlog and agile planning alongside other software engineers, senior leadership, and key customer stakeholders.
* Diagnose and investigate issues and communicate status and findings to tier one support teams and stakeholders.
* Be an advocate for test driven development (TDD) and continuous integration/deployment.
* Collaborate with customer and business stakeholders at a technical level.
* You should be enthusiastic, self-motivated, and take complete ownership of the life-cycle of features - concept, development, testing, deployment, and support.
* Mentoring and coaching members of the team.
Required Skills
* Highly preferred experience in telecoms software development.
* Highly preferred knowledge of Asterisk, VoIP, & SIP.
* Understanding of SQL and ability to understand and write queries.
* Knowledge of utilising SCM & CI/CD tools such as Git, Github Actions, Gitlab Pipeline.
* Experience with Agile development frameworks, methodologies, and tools.
* Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Experience with Python preferable.
* Experience with AWS/Azure would be a bonus.
* Experience with Jira would be a bonus.
