About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Regional Health and Safety Advisor to join our Severn Trent framework team at Advance TRS.
Based in the Severn Trent region, you will work on various projects, ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation and implementing best practices. Your role will involve:
1. Providing support to project teams to ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and guidelines.
2. Conducting systematic audits and inspections of construction sites to verify compliance with legislative requirements and health and safety management systems.
3. Monitoring the resolution of health and safety issues and investigating accidents/incidents to identify root causes and learning points.
4. Assisting with risk assessments and control measure identification as needed.
5. Maintaining safety-related documentation and collaborating with clients, HSE Inspectors, and external assessors.
6. Fostering strong relationships with site teams and supporting the development of a positive health and safety culture.
To succeed in this role, you should have extensive experience in health and safety practice, preferably within the construction industry. A thorough understanding of current UK statutory health and safety law, HSE Directives, and ISO 45001 is essential. Additionally, you should possess formal qualifications in Occupational Safety and Health, such as a NEBOSH Construction Certificate, and hold a CSCS card or affiliated scheme like SHEA Water.
The ideal candidate will be familiar with Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM) and good construction practices. You will also have excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships.
We offer a competitive salary of £42,000-£52,000 per annum, plus benefits, reflecting the company's commitment to its employees' well-being and success.
