* This position supports managing UniSuper’s global equity strategies, including stewardship of the research investment philosophy and implementation. You will work with Portfolio Managers in Global Equities to identify and analyze opportunities, incorporate AI into investment and portfolio management, prepare reports, foster collaboration, and develop new talent. As an Investment Analyst, your responsibilities include:
1. Fundamental and Financial Analysis: Conduct analysis of companies in the Financial Sector (e.g., Banks, Insurers, Exchanges) to support portfolio management and investments.
2. Idea Generation: Proactively generate, develop, review, and refine investment ideas in the Financial Sector.
3. AI Integration: Incorporate AI into investment and portfolio management to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and innovation.
4. Tool Development: Create tools to streamline portfolio construction and investment processes.
5. Report Preparation: Prepare reports for UniSuper’s Investment Committee, external reviews, and monthly reports.
6. Research Papers: Contribute to research papers and publications for internal and external audiences.
7. Work closely with other asset class teams within the investments department.
About You
* As an experienced Investment Analyst, you'll have the opportunity to work with one of the best in-house investment teams in the industry. To succeed, you should have:
* Investment Analysis Experience: 7-10+ years of experience analyzing companies in the Financial sector, including building and analyzing financial models.
* Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build professional relationships.
* Presentation and Analytical Skills: Ability to summarize results, provide insights, and demonstrate strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
* Technical Proficiency: High numeracy, computer literacy, and IT skills.
* Attention to Detail and Self-Motivation: Proactive, detail-oriented, able to meet deadlines, and work effectively both independently and in teams.
* Qualifications and Professional Development: Post-graduate and professional qualifications with extensive industry experience.
