An opportunity has arisen to continue to develop and support the Vascular Access Service and Bone Marrow Harvest Service within the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children. The post holder will be required to continue to develop this service alongside the band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist. They will need to have enthusiasm and passion for service improvement, patient safety, and Infection Control Prevention.
The successful applicant will be responsible for patient assessment, line placement, audit, education, follow-up, and surveillance. Full clinical training will be provided internally. This role will also include assistance with bone marrow harvesting and processing.

Qualifications and Training
* Current NMC Registration
* 1st Degree in nursing or health-related subject, willing to undertake/working towards
* Qualification in Teaching and Assessing
* RSCN
* Willingness to work towards Masters level academic study
Knowledge & Experience
* Appropriate proven leadership and management experience
* Proven commitment and experience, evidenced in teaching
* Experience as preceptor/mentor
* Experience of undertaking research or audit projects
* Evidence of commitment to research-based practice or evidence of project work undertaken
