Our client, a global leader in their field is seeking a dedicated and proactive QHSE Advisor to join their team in Cambridge. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support and legislative direction for Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) processes within the company. You will assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of their Integrated Management System (IMS), in line with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards. Additionally, you will lead QHSE initiatives across the business, focusing on risk assessments, audits, incident investigations, and facilities management. Main duties include: Lead the ongoing operation and maintenance of the IMS, ensuring that processes are up to date and compliant with relevant standards. Develop and implement operational procedures with stakeholders, reviewing and improving current QHSE processes. Coach staff members on the use of the IMS and support the company in maintaining its QHSE systems. Monitor and report on QHSE performance using KPI-driven metrics, communicating findings to the wider management team. Manage incident investigations and produce reports with findings, corrective actions, and improvements. Conduct QHSE audits across company facilities, customer work sites, and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with ISO standards. Lead sustainability efforts, including managing contracts related to the environmental impact of the business. Support colleagues with QHSE queries and stay up-to-date with legislative changes, ensuring the company is informed of any important developments. Complete QHSE sections of tender documents and advise on health and safety for international travel. The successful candidate: Experience working in a QHSE role with a focus on ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001). Strong understanding of risk assessments, audits, and incident investigation processes. Excellent communication and coaching skills, with the ability to work across various departments. Ability to manage and track sustainability initiatives and contracts related to QHSE matters. Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks. A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
