Job summary Our team provides specialist Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Endoscopy services across our 3 hospital sites (Dewsbury District Hospital, Pinderfields General Hospital and Pontefract General Infirmary). Our acute inpatient work is provided on the Pinderfields site with outpatient services and endoscopy provided across all 3 sites. Our consultants rotate to provide inpatient care on the specialist inpatient gastroenterology ward. We have a Gastroenterologist of the Week model providing expert advice to the rest of the hospital and helping to deliver urgent endoscopy services. Our gastroenterology team provide a 24/7 GI Bleed on call service. We provide specialist clinics for several conditions including Hepatology, IBD, Cancer and Specialist Nutrition. We currently provide a range of endoscopy services including ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangio Pancreatography). Our consultants are a varied group with a wide range of specialist interests.
