Mainstone Veterinary Clinic is a small animal practice located in Romsey, Hampshire on the south coast of England, with good transport links to London, Bath, Oxford, and Brighton. We have a friendly and supportive team of 5 Vets, 6 Nurses and a wonderful administration team. Within our team, we have certificate holders in Ophthalmology and Emergency and Critical Care. We are looking for a new graduate to join our team who is self-motivated and eager to use their skills and knowledge, with our assistance and guidance, to progress and develop.
Practice facilities and equipment include x-ray with floating table, ultrasound, in-house laboratory, dental x-ray, tonopen, slit lamp, cryopen, orthopaedic equipment (fracture repair and cruciate surgery), acupuncture and more.
40 hours per week over a 2 week rota. One week, 5 days generally 3 shifts 8:30am – 4:30/5pm and 2 shifts 9:30am - 7pm. Following week over 4 days generally 2 shifts 8:30am – 4:30/5pm and 2 shifts 9:30am - 7pm. You will also take part in our Saturday rota working 1 in 5 Saturday mornings. No on call which allows a great work-life balance.
You will be supported by our Vet and Nurse team with interest in giving learning opportunities and self-development. One of our Vets is a GDP adviser and assessor. No sole charge (initially and then only Saturdays and when vets are on holiday), friendly team with staff events/nights out.
