Account Manager (Vaping Industry)

Job Description:
As an Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our distribution network and driving sales growth across multiple channels. You will be responsible for identifying, onboarding, and managing relationships with key distribution partners, including wholesalers, retailers, and e-commerce platforms. Your focus will be on achieving revenue targets, ensuring compliance with UK regulations, and staying ahead of industry trends.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Channel Development:
- Identify and onboard new distribution partners, including wholesalers, retailers, and e-commerce platforms.
- Expand the company’s reach by establishing partnerships with key players in the vaping, FMCG, or consumer electronics industries.
2. Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with channel partners.
- Ensure alignment with partners on sales strategies, objectives, and promotional activities.
3. Sales Strategy:
- Develop and execute effective sales plans to achieve revenue targets across all channels.
- Monitor and optimize sales performance to maximize growth opportunities.
4. Market Analysis:
- Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and competitor activities.
- Use insights to inform sales strategies and decision-making.
5. Training & Support:
- Provide training and product knowledge to channel partners to enhance their sales capabilities.
- Offer ongoing support to ensure partners are equipped to meet sales targets.
6. Sales Forecasting & Reporting:
- Monitor sales performance and prepare accurate forecasts.
- Generate regular reports for management, highlighting key metrics and insights.
7. Compliance:
- Ensure all sales activities comply with UK legal regulations regarding the sale of e-cigarettes and vaping products.
8. Promotional Activities:
- Coordinate promotional campaigns and initiatives with channel partners to increase product visibility and drive sales.
Requirements:
1. Experience: 3-5 years of experience in channel sales, preferably within the vaping, FMCG, or consumer electronics industry.
2. Knowledge: Strong understanding of the UK vaping industry, including current trends, regulations, and competitive landscape.
3. Sales Skills: Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing distribution channels.
4. Communication: Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
5. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze market data, sales reports, and forecasts to make informed decisions.
6. Flexibility: Willingness to travel within the UK for partner meetings and events.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience working with retail chains, online platforms, or wholesalers in the UK.
2. Knowledge of UK regulatory requirements for e-cigarettes and nicotine products.
3. Existing relationships within the vaping or FMCG distribution channels.
