Due to an internal promotion, we have an exciting job opening within the Finance team as a Finance Analyst, based in our Maidenhead offices. You will be the one who will be responsible for analysing profitability and assisting with producing valuable financial reports internally.

What you’ll do
Reporting to the Finance Manager you will assist them and other members of the Senior Management Team (SMT) to develop an annual budget based on the strategic goals of the company established by SMT in line with the prescribed timings. You will be responsible for developing VCFSUK finance management with specific focus on keeping profitability, achieving cost efficiency and providing senior management with valuable information to assist in decision-making.
You will assist in the validation of monthly closing with a specific focus on Revenue, and commission including marketing support, service charges from third parties, and monitoring costs based on the budget. You will also assist with the tracking of provision movement including Residual Value.
Responsible for supporting the Finance Manager to execute finance operations properly such as monthly review of cost centre reports, OPEX analysis, creation of OPEX summary and management reports and manage accruals and prepayments. Effective management of procurement and purchasing in VCFSUK, including managing internal invoicing process and handling external accounts payable queries.

Do you fit the profile?
The ideal candidate will have sound financial services knowledge and in-depth knowledge in finance/accounting. You will have excellent analytical skills and must be able to demonstrate strong numerical ability. Financial services / Motor Financing experience is highly desirable.
It is a small team, within a start-up business environment and it is essential that you are Independent with the ability to operate effectively with minimal guidance. You should possess excellent MS Office skills, especially Excel and be highly organised, goal orientated and be able to meet deadlines, prioritise and delegate work.
The ability to work under pressure, often dealing with several issues simultaneously is essential as is the ability to grasp complex ideas quickly and effectively. You will be a proven team player, with strong communication skills.
Due to the nature of the role you should be part qualified (working towards) a professional accountancy-related qualifications, (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, CPA).
