Company Overview
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Project Manager to join a leading organisation in the delivery of non-infrastructure, water, and wastewater projects across the Southern Water portfolio. This is an excellent opportunity to manage a variety of exciting and challenging projects within the water sector, ensuring high standards of project delivery, health & safety, and client satisfaction.
The Role
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of design and build projects, from initiation to handover. You will lead and manage project teams, including Site Agents and subcontractors, to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required standards. Your role will require strong leadership skills, an ability to manage commercial and operational aspects, and a keen focus on client relationships and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Lead projects from conception to completion, ensuring the successful delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
Demonstrate strong leadership and collaborative behaviours to lead project teams by example.
Ensure the highest standards of Health & Safety are implemented and adhered to on all projects.
Maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders, ensuring excellent customer service and smooth project delivery.
Develop new and existing client and supplier relationships.
Develop and manage construction plans, method statements, and project documentation.
Report project status regularly and ensure commercial and contractual aspects are managed proactively.
Ensure IMS is implemented throughout the project process, from tender handover to final completion.
Provide clear and accurate project reports, forecasts, and estimates.
Key Requirements
A degree (or equivalent) in engineering, construction, or a related field.
Proven experience within regulated utilities, infrastructure, or the built environment sector, with a focus on water and wastewater projects.
Comprehensive knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, including HSWA and CDM regulations.
Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships and exceed client expectations.
