Responsibilities
:
1. Lead and manage the design process during pre-construction and delivery phases
2. Coordinate design information across consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams
3. Monitor design progress against programme milestones
4. Chair design team meetings and workshops
5. Ensure compliance with planning, building regulations, and CDM
6. Work closely with commercial, construction, and planning departments
7. Interface with client representatives and stakeholders
8. Manage RFIs, document control, and value engineering reviews
About You:
9. Proven experience as a Design Manager or Design Coordinator with a main contractor
10. Background in leading projects through pre-construction and/or delivery
11. Strong technical knowledge across construction methods and materials
12. Experience with multi-disciplinary consultant teams and subcontractor design
13. Excellent communication and organisational skills
14. Familiarity with BIM, Common Data Environments, and digital tools
15. HNC/Degree qualified in a construction-related discipline preferred
