Description What you’ll need to succeed: Reporting into the Service Director for Planning and Housing you will play a pivotal role in improving the safety and quality of our Council homes and ensuring that we meet the requirements of the Consumer Standards. You will need to be able to work independently, working with a wide range of internal and external partners to ensure change and improvement is delivered. You will be the Councils lead officer for the oversight of Council homes you will: Demonstrate leadership with the ability to form strong relationships with key stakeholders. Be confident to provide the Council with your profession advice about the management of social housing. Have a clear understanding of the role of the client, using the right mechanisms to hold CHL to account. Ability to think creatively to develop future plans and ensure the health of our Housing Revenue Account. Lead HRA Business Planning and related strategy development and implementation. Work with the leadership of P&H to take advantage of place-based regeneration opportunities to deliver housing the provision of supported and specialist housing and interventions to provide emergency and temporary accommodation. What we are looking for; We are looking for a person who is an experienced leader with a sound knowledge of social housing. You will need to understand national picture with an ability to communicate clearly how this applies locally and take advantage of all opportunities to drive improvement. You will be forward looking with the ability to build relationships with a clear ability to develop strategies to solve our housing issues. We require someone who is capable of working in a changing environment, has excellent communication skills, a willingness to work collaboratively with us to solve issues and able to work across large, multi-functioning organisations.
