Mydas Recruitment are experts in the sourcing and supply of Engineers to leading organisations.
Due to continued growth, our client, a multinational manufacturing organisation, based in Northern Ireland, have a requirement for a quality inspector to work with multifunctional teams throughout the organisation, to ensure that products are delivered to meet costs, quality & schedule.
Responsibilities
1. Quality Control and Technical Support: Quality inspection function. Includes: Goods receiving inspection to AQL. Visual and dimensional verification of components, and ensuring all necessary paperwork is present, legible, and correct.First Article Inspection and reporting (includes preparing and assembling FAIRs that meet the requirements of AS9102)Inspection of returned or queried goods taken from stock to ascertain compliance to drawing requirements.
2. MRB Participation.
3. Coordination of rejected and replacement material (scrap, return to supplier, or use as is)
4. Coordination of ECN dispositions (scrap, return to supplier, or use as is).
5. Ensuring scrap items are rendered unusable and maintaining objective evidence.
6. Supplier quality monitoring and NCR feedback. This may include providing supplier performance analysis reporting.
7. Preparing, issuing, reviewing and closing 3C/8D supplier corrective action requests to ensure non conformances do not recur.
8. Liaison with the customer and/or customer account specialists to obtain necessary information to verify product (if not already available)
9. Complete stock purges as required or directed.
10. Maintain calibration of inspection devices.
11. Other quality related duties as required.
Key skills:
Essential
12. Office 365 proficient, in particular MS Outlook, MS Word and MS Excel.
13. The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
14. Proficiency in the use of standard measuring equipment such as digital calipers, micrometers, height gauges, go/no go gauges, etc.
15. A minimum of 2 years’ experience within an inspection environment
