Facilities Administrator, Wakefield
£13.00 Per Hour / 6 Month Contract
Onsite - 5 days a week
We’re working with a highly respected business in the professional services sector to support the recruitment of a Facilities Admin. This role is ideal for someone with prior experience in a fast-paced Facilities function who thrives on organisation, stakeholder communication, and service delivery. You’ll be supporting the Facilities Managers and wider department to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and help drive continuous improvement across key processes.
Key responsibilities:
• Provide admin support across departmental projects, policies, and procedures
• Monitor the Facilities Support Desk, ensuring all queries are actioned or escalated appropriately
• Log and track contractor work orders, monitoring performance against SLAs and KPIs
• Resolve minor facilities issues and maintain accurate documentation
• Support contract management and procurement processes
• Collate data for tenders, internal reports, and management updates
• Assist with invoice processing, purchasing, and general Facilities admin
• Maintain department records, policies, and knowledge systems
• Champion the Facilities function internally, gathering feedback to improve service delivery
What we’re looking for:
• Previous experience in a Facilities Support Desk or Coordinator role
• Familiarity with CAFM systems and contract admin is a plus
• Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• A proactive, can-do mindset with the ability to stay calm under pressure
• Commercially aware with a flexible, professional approach
• Basic understanding of lease obligations and health & safety compliance
