The Clinical Environmental Assistant will be a team member involved in the provision of patient-centred service. They will work within an inpatient multi-disciplinary team (MDT) to maintain a safe and clean environment and provide a comfortable atmosphere for the patients and carers. The role includes maintaining clinical and non-clinical areas ensuring high standards are met in relation to essential tasks, and providing some patient care alongside HCAs under the supervision of RNs.
Main Duties of the Job
An opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Environmental Assistant to join Sevenscore Ward working 8 am - 4 pm Monday to Friday with a small degree of flexibility. No weekend or night work.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual with excellent communication skills; you will come into contact with service users, so good interpersonal skills are required.
You will be responsible for ensuring the ward areas are kept tidy, ordering ward stock pertaining to the clinical environment, carrying out environmental checks and audits, and ensuring the safe storage of patients' laundry. You will liaise closely with relatives and carers.
You will work alongside HCAs in a clinical role with relevant training updates.
