Lab Technician

NRL are keen to speak to Lab Technicians to join our clients growing team on a permanent basis. Working within a Chemical environment, the successful candidate will be responsible for conducting advanced laboratory tests, primarily utilising HPLC, and managing data through LIMS to support research, development, and quality control processes. You will work in close collaboration with our research and production teams, ensuring the highest levels of accuracy, safety, and efficiency in all laboratory procedures.
What you'll be doing:
* Conduct routine and specialised chemical analyses using HPLC to support R&D, quality control, and process development.
* Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
* Utilise LIMS for data entry, tracking, and reporting to maintain accurate and accessible records of laboratory results.
* Prepare samples, reagents, and standards for analysis, ensuring proper handling and storage.
* Troubleshoot and resolve HPLC instrument and system issues, escalating to senior team members when necessary.
* Document and report all results, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
* Follow all safety protocols and company policies to maintain a safe laboratory environment.
* Collaborate with team members to develop, optimise, and validate new methods and procedures.
About you:
* A degree or diploma in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
* Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience working with HPLC in a laboratory setting.
* Strong experience in using LIMS for data management, reporting, and analysis.
* Deep understanding of laboratory safety protocols (GLP/GMP).
* Ability to troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance on HPLC systems.
* Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to follow precise instructions.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
* Knowledge of ISO, GMP, or GLP standards.
