Job Description We are looking for a welcoming, organised, and customer-focused individual with an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service to join an Education provider in York, as their Welcome Desk Receptionist to provide exceptional front-of-house support. This is a temporary position for around 4 week. If you’re proactive, efficient, and passionate about providing top-notch customer service, we’d love to hear from you Some of the key Welcome Desk Receptionist duties are: First Point of Contact : Welcome visitors, assist with enquiries online, in person, and via the switchboard, providing professional and friendly service to students, staff, and external visitors. Customer Service Excellence : Deliver seamless signposting to specialist services, working with a range of internal and external visitors to ensure everyone’s needs are met. Fire Evacuation Support : Act as a fire warden, supporting evacuation procedures and summoning emergency services as needed. Data Protection and Confidentiality : Uphold Data Protection regulations, ensuring confidentiality in all communications with internal and external visitors. Routine Administration : Handle clerical tasks, including maintaining the electronic system for pre-notified visitors and events. Emergency Response : Respond to emergency calls, ensuring swift coordination and informing the appropriate First Aid, Estates, and Health & Safety teams as appropriate. To be considered for this role you must have an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service. This will be working Monday to Friday 8:30am-4:30pm, earning a salary of £11.90 per hour.
