We are pleased to offer an experienced, dedicated Clinical Psychologist the opportunity to join our team at The Laurels on a part-time, permanent basis.
Located just two miles from the historic city of Lincoln, The Laurels neurological rehabilitation service provides accommodation for 12 adult residents. The facility is fully adapted for wheelchair access and boasts en-suite bathrooms, a therapy room, training kitchen, and a community garden.
At The Laurels, we specialise in supporting patients with acquired brain injury, traumatic brain injury, severe neurological conditions, complex stroke, and spinal cord injury.
Our interdisciplinary team is composed of skilled professionals, including a Rehabilitation Consultant, Neuropsychology, Speech and Language Therapy, Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy, who work together to develop person-centred, evidence-based rehabilitation care plans that aim to maximise independence and recovery. We deliver high-quality and intensive neurological rehabilitation, and our comprehensive approach includes physical, cognitive, functional, and vocational assessments, along with behavioural management and complex disability assessments for adults.

What you'll be working:
This role is 7.5 hours per week. We understand the need for a positive work-life balance and would be happy to discuss a flexible working arrangement for candidates with other employment, training, and/or personal commitments.
What you'll be doing:
* Undertake line management responsibilities for a full-time Assistant Psychologist.
* Complete assessment and clinical formulation of patient’s problem behaviours and treatment needs.
* Provide and evaluate the effectiveness of evidence-based individual and group treatment programmes.
* Direct and support others to carry out evidence-based clinical psychology interventions.
* Take personal responsibility for ensuring that appropriate security procedures are adhered to at all times and that risks are continuously assessed and managed.
* Maintain CPD of an HCPC Registered Practitioner Clinical Psychologist and ensure competence in relation to the administration and scoring of psychological assessments and risk assessments.
* Develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, visitors and carers.
* Keep people safe from any harm and protect their human rights.
What you'll have:
* HCPC registration.
* BPS registration.
* Previous experience within a neurorehabilitation setting.
The successful candidate will have a wide-ranging knowledge of specialist neuropsychological assessment and the treatment of adults presenting with complex, acquired neurological disorders, in particular those with cognitive, psychological and emotional impairments which prevent them from achieving independent functioning in daily living. In addition, you will have extensive experience in delivering individual therapy, and helping non-psychology team members work with people who have experienced an acquired brain injury, coupled with good team and leadership skills.
