Description We have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Colleague to join our team at our Warrington site on our Primark contract. Working 40 hours a week Sunday to Thursday on 10pm to 6am shift. This role will report to the Warehouse Team Manager. The Role: You will be responsible for effectively carrying out all the required functions within the warehouse, including but not limited to order picking, FLT, cross-dock, checking of paperwork for accuracy, loading / unloading trailers and rigid vehicles. All work must be carried out in a timely fashion to a high standard of accuracy. To liaise with hauliers and internal customers on all issues relating to the operation. To comply with Quality, Health and Safety procedures and to ensure a safe working environment for self and others. Any other duties considered necessary to fulfil the role. To be responsible for the Health and Safety of themselves and other operatives by adhering to safe working practices. Responsible for highlighting any potential operational issues that could impact, including hygiene and damage issues to your Team Manager to ensure any complaints or issues are maintained at the lowest level possible. The Person: Must be educated to secondary school level with basic numeracy and literacy skills Must be flexible to support fluctuations in customer volume Must have a proven experience of communicating effectively whilst building effective relationships Must be able to demonstrate their ability to work towards targets whilst adhering to Health and Safety regulations Must have excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with and ability to communicate with all levels of staff and management, both verbally and in writing Must be able to demonstrate the ability to work under their own initiative Must have a flexible and adaptable approach to work with a ‘can do’ attitude Must be honest and trustworthy with a positive response to adapting to the needs of the business Must accept accountability and be comfortable working in a pressurised, ever changing, and customer driven environment Experience of using MHE would be preferable (PPT and CB) Valid RTITB licences would be advantageous An NVQ in Warehousing or relevant subject would be beneficial Due to the site requirements, all applicants will be required to undergo a basic level DBS check via the Criminal Records Bureau.
