Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust are delighted to offer our PROUD Customer Service Apprenticeship. There are a variety of PROUD apprentice opportunities throughout the Trust based at the Northern General Hospital and our Central/Hallamshire sites.

You will be reliable and hardworking with a desire to learn from the experiences you will gain during your apprenticeship which will enable you to progress and develop further in your career.
Come and join us and be supported to earn as you learn whilst undertaking a nationally recognised qualification. You will study a Customer Service Practitioner Level 2 Apprenticeship alongside your role within the Trust. It is ideal if this type of role is new to you, where you can learn and build new skills. You will need to have at least GCSE Grade 3/D or Functional Skills Level 1 or above in Maths and English. You will be enthusiastic, have a positive work ethic, be keen to learn and able to work in a team. You will receive support to gain a wide range of experience and skills, supervision and mentoring.
You will be providing administration support within a department here at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals which will be allocated within the recruitment process.
Duties within this role include:
1. Booking appointments
2. Maintaining medical records
3. Communicating with internal and external colleagues and patients via email, telephone and face to face
4. General administration duties
The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and enthusiastic with strong organisational skills and have a desire to deliver excellent customer service within their role.
This vacancy is advertised on a fixed-term contract basis for a period of 15 months due to this being an apprenticeship/training programme. The fixed term contract status of the post holder will be reviewed in accordance with the Trust's legal obligations regarding fixed term contracts.
A learner/applicant must be a UK, EEA, or EU resident for at least the past three years to undertake an apprenticeship training programme.
Due to UK apprenticeship funding regulations, applicants must have a right to work in the UK, or for EU citizens hold pre-settled or settled status and have been a UK or EU resident for the last three years or have indefinite leave to remain with documents that are not due to expire during the duration of the apprenticeship contract. Applicants must also not already have a qualification at a higher level within the same subject matter.

There is no upper age limit on joining us as an apprentice.
