This role offers the chance to play a key role in shaping the architecture of high-traffic, scalable, and secure E-Commerce solutions. Working within an Agile environment, you will collaborate closely with developers, UX designers, and business change managers to drive innovation and enhance customer experience. Key Responsibilities: Define and implement scalable and secure E-Commerce architecture to support business growth. Design and optimize integrations with third-party SaaS services such as payment gateways, ERP, and CRM systems. Provide technical leadership and mentor a team of software engineers. Develop and enforce architecture standards and best practices for coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance. Ensure the security, reliability, and performance of the existing E-Commerce ecosystem (cloud-based services, APIs, databases). Keep up to date with emerging E-Commerce technologies and industry trends. Ensure compliance with UK regulations (UK-GDPR, PCI-DSS, FCA Conduct Rules). Key Skills: 10 years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in an architect or technical lead role. Proven expertise in designing and building high-traffic, transactional E-Commerce platforms. Strong experience with C#, .NET, Java, JavaScript frameworks (AngularJS, jQuery). Proficiency in API development (REST, SOAP, LDAP) with data formats like JSON & XML. Knowledge of relational (MS SQL Server) and document-oriented databases (Oracle Endeca). Experience in secure web and API development, including OWASP best practices, authentication protocols, and encryption. Familiarity with performance optimization techniques for web applications. Exposure to Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and DevOps practices (CI/CD, GitLab, Jenkins, Selenium)
