They range in nature from power stations to oil refineries, food manufacturing sites to automotive plants. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our relationships with a portfolio of these customers using their refined Account Management skills. They will join a team of experts with huge amounts of experience from a wide range of sectors, not just the water industry. The team is looking for an experienced Account Manager to deepen our existing relationships and develop new opportunities for customers to benefit from Wave’s award-winning water retail proposition. The role will suit you if you have significant Account Management experience, a desire to make the customer journey as smooth as possible and helping customers achieve their water, wastewater, fiscal and sustainability objectives. WHAT WILL YOUR TYPICAL DAY LOOK LIKE? Work closely and proactively with all of your customers, by attending regular face to face and site meetings and Teams meetings, as well as interaction by e-mail and telephone. You will be the customer champion within Wave and more broadly, such as with regulators and water companies, to ensure positive and fair results are always achieved. Implementing an Account Development plan for each customer and using that as the basis for a communication schedule. Understanding their key drivers and objectives and helping them achieve these within their specified timeframe. Adding value to your customers via promotion of Water Efficiency Services to drive improved levels of service and savings. Developing relationships and interacting with other business areas, such as Metering, Billing and Wholesaler Management. Supporting growth and retention opportunities with the I&C Sales and Bid teams. Reviewing reports and following processes to manage the debt associated with your customer portfolio. Making sure that customer payments are received according to contracted payment terms. WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU? Credible Account Management experience, with a history of developing long-term relationships with a variety of key customers, ideally from the industrial sector. Demonstrable B2B sales experience in a commercial environment. A natural communicator, able to speak, write and present with impact. A desire to provide the highest levels of customer service. The ability to work in a structured way to ensure consistency of service provided. A team player who supports colleagues and works with others to achieve the best outcome for the customer and Wave. Numerical literacy with good analytical and MS Excel skills. Excellent time-management and organisational skills. A degree or equivalent experience in a related subject.
