Our client is a Non-profit School and Sixth Form for students between the ages of 11-18 years old based in Godalming.
Job Description
The Key responsibilities for the Exam Invigilator are:
* Ensure the security of exam papers and materials at all times, and return them as instructed.
* Set up exam rooms in accordance with standard JCQ regulations.
* Admit candidates into exam rooms, checking for any unauthorised items (e.g., mobile phones, pencil cases).
* Respond to candidate queries without offering specific help or guidance.
* Supervise candidates consistently, ensuring full compliance with regulatory standards.
* Record and report any irregularities, including completing required documentation (e.g., late arrivals).
* Collect exam scripts following the correct procedure and verify them against the attendance register.
* Attend training sessions, including refresher and review meetings, or complete required online training.
* Be prepared to invigilate computer-based or 'on-screen' assessments when necessary.
The Successful Applicant
The successful Exam Invigilator candidate would need to have the following:
* A good standard of Maths and English.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Clear voice.
* Ability to work in silence for a period of time.
* Be able to commute to Godalming and surrounding areas.
* Have previous experience in Education and Training.
