The post holder will work as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering a diagnostic and therapy service to both inpatients and outpatients. They will use phlebotomy skills to administer radioactive isotopes to patients in a safe and effective manner that is in accordance with IRR and IR(ME)R regulations i.e safe handling and administration of radiopharmaceuticals according to local rules. They will work as part of a small group of nursing staff and will need to demonstrate professionalism towards patients, relatives and staff alike and also demonstrate enthusiasm to develop in their new role. They will need to demonstrate commitment and enthusiasm for research/evidence based practice, audit and educational practice in the clinical area.
