Our client is experiencing a time of accelerated growth and is looking for a Finance and Compliance Assistant to join their team during this exciting period.
This role merges finance and administrative responsibilities to provide comprehensive support to the Operations Manager. While finance experience is not strictly required, candidates should have a demonstrated interest in finance and be working towards relevant qualifications.
Responsibilities include:
* Answering the phone and responding to emails
* Monitoring multiple operations-related inboxes
* Producing and submitting invoices
* Bank reconciliation
* Ensuring that account receivables are collected promptly
* Supporting and completing month-end tasks
* Coordinating and preparing the budget, financial forecasts, and reporting variances
* Supporting the submission of HMRC returns
* Assisting in the preparations for year-end returns
* Assisting colleagues wherever necessary
* Performing other operations administration tasks, including HR and business admin duties
Skills and Experience Required:
1. Previous financial experience or finance qualifications (AAT Level 2 or equivalent preferred)
2. Desire to pursue a career in finance and willingness to work towards finance qualifications
