Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust provides a highly specialist service for adults with Mental Health conditions and/or a Learning Disability. This post is suitable for a Mental Health or Learning Disability nurse, who is registered with the NMC. The post will provide senior leadership to inpatient services at night with the successful candidate providing senior management experience and clinical leadership onto Central Inpatient wards and oversight support to Walkergate Park. Central Inpatients provides intensive psychiatric care and rehabilitation for adults across 7 wards and 3 sites.
Main duties of the job
You will need to demonstrate senior clinical leadership and support to our inpatient wards out of hours, ensuring safe nursing practice and provision of high-quality care delivery.
You will need to be clinically confident, resilient, solution focused and competent in working with children and young people within an inpatient setting and be able to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary context. You should have a collaborative and enthusiastic style as well as a passion and commitment to networking with other services out of hours including emergency services and crisis and home treatment teams.
The post requires someone who can adopt a flexible, adaptable, and proactive approach to the workplace.

Person Specification
Education and Qualification
* Professional Nursing Qualification: Registered Nurse (M) ENB 998 or equivalent
* Evidence of ongoing study and development
Knowledge and Experience
* At least 2 years post registration
* Having worked in a supervisory capacity
* Safe and detailed working knowledge of Mental Health Act
* Broad experience within various inpatient settings
Skills and Competencies
* A proven ability to work unsupervised
* High level skills in decision making, problem solving, and crisis management
Role/Team Specific Requirements
* Adaptability to changing service needs.
* Enthusiasm and motivation
