Role Overview
Providing leadership to the Local Laws team and to other authorised officers in Council, the role will ensure Council’s policies and procedures regarding prosecution and infringement processes, and statutory obligations under relevant legislation are understood. The position will represent Council’s compliance teams in the Magistrates Court, and provide oversight for the Internal Review of infringements, ensuring they are processed appropriately and reviewed in accordance with relevant guidelines, legislation and within statutory timeframes.
Qualifications
You will have a Certificate IV in Government (Statutory Compliance &/or Investigations) or Diploma Local Government Administration/Diploma of Justice or equivalent.
Skills and Attributes
Suitably qualified, your ability to work within a team environment, set priorities and manage workloads, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills, will ensure your success in this exciting position.
As part of our selection process, you may be required to have pre-employment checks (Psychometric Assessment, CrimCheck and Working with Children Clearance).
