About the role:
This is a hands-on, fast-paced position ideal for an experienced Maintenance Engineer with both electrical and mechanical capabilities. You'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and improvement of a wide range of production equipment, including plastic extrusion, printing presses, plating lines, automated warehousing systems, and other critical site facilities.
What you’ll be doing:
* Perform electrical and mechanical servicing, repairs, testing, and installations.
* Diagnose and respond to breakdowns promptly to minimise downtime and maximise output.
* Deliver routine planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across a diverse range of equipment.
* Support improvement projects and propose enhancements to plant, equipment, tools, and systems.
* Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and all safe working practices.
* Maintain accurate documentation and logs of work carried out.
* Participate in an on-call rota and respond to emergency breakdowns when required.
* Actively contribute to a positive team environment and service-focused culture.
About you:
* Proven experience in a similar multiskilled maintenance role within a manufacturing or production setting.
* Strong fault-finding abilities with a practical, hands-on approach to solving problems.
* Knowledge of both electrical and mechanical systems.
* Comfortable working independently and using initiative.
* Electrical Bias
* A natural communicator who keeps stakeholders informed and demonstrates clear documentation skills.
* A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
