Role Purpose
Managing the growth and development of current Glasgow Connected Arts Network members and the new Creative Glasgow community (whilst supporting the transition), and establishing the network programme of events through effective communication and marketing processes and strategies. You will lead on programme design and management, including training events. Your role is to develop resources for members, coordinating networking events or virtual networking opportunities, and managing community queries.

With over 600 members, we offer essential training, partnerships, and networking opportunities, enhancing public engagement and understanding of participatory arts.

In 2024 we will launch a new programme of activities for individuals and businesses in Glasgow’s creative sector, providing networking events, professional development opportunities, and practical support to enhance skills, foster community, and increase visibility within the arts. Your role will be primarily to manage that activity.

Job Overview
Position: Membership and Programmes Manager
Reports to: Executive Director and the Creative Glasgow Board of Trustees
Contract Type: Part-time, Fixed-term
Duration: September 2024 – 31st March 2025 (This role will continue beyond March 2025 subject to our multi-year funding decision which is due October 2024)
Hours: 28 hours per week, over four days
Salary: £24,909 (approx £17/hour)
Location: Hybrid model; presence required in our base, Civic House, Glasgow

Job Description and Specification
The Membership and Programmes Manager will manage the growth and development of current Glasgow Connected Arts Network members and the new Creative Glasgow community. This role is central to establishing and overseeing the network programme of events through effective communication and marketing processes and strategies.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop, promote, deliver, monitor, and evaluate a program of networking, support, funding, advocacy, and training opportunities for the membership.
2. Serve as the primary contact for new and existing members, developing the current membership base and attracting new members.
3. Develop and deliver an annual marketing and communications strategy.
4. Manage the membership database and website, ensuring they are kept up-to-date.
Person Specification
Essential: A minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role, proficiency in using design software such as Canva, and excellent IT and digital skills.
Desirable: Experience in the third sector and knowledge of monitoring and evaluation processes.
