The Role Tuza is a rapidly growing startup on a mission to help small businesses save on their card machine fees. We've all seen the card minimum signs at the counter, and been forced to the cash machine, we're on a mission to change that. Tuza is the first price-comparison service for card machines, bringing urgent transparency to an industry that has been historically painful for businesses to navigate. In 2024, we helped over £3bn of small businesses compare. You'll be joining us as a brand ambassador. This means you're a current university student going out and talking to small businesses in your home and university towns/cities. You'll be giving out free card machine till roll to businesses, in exchange for a few quick details from them. If the business is interested, you can direct them to our website to compare. After your visit, the business should remember you, remember Tuza, and think differently about card payments. This role is flexible but will have a minimum weekly commitment. In practice this means, there will be a target number of businesses to reach each week, and it's up to you how you spend your time meeting this. The target is flexible, and reached in consultation with the team. What we need: The natural confidence to build strong relationships with business owners; Happy being out and about talking to small businesses. This role is exclusively walking and talking; Currently studying at a university in the UK and on track for a 2:1 or higher; Ready to start working in January. Changing payment providers is broken: a cornershop turning over £300k a year could save £5k a year by changing payment provider, but they don’t. For businesses, it’s lengthy, lacks transparency, and often costly to switch. For providers, finding customers and helping them switch is manual and old-fashioned. It’s an industry crying out for change. Tuza turns a week-long switching process into minutes, giving business owners their pick of the best rates from the likes of Worldpay, Barclaycard, and Natwest, saving them thousands of pounds a year in the process. All at zero cost for the business owner. We're able to do this because our software powers our partners pricing and boarding, enabling them to dynamically price risk, and board a merchant in a digital journey. We're ridding acquiring banks of their legacy technology and creating a platform that our partners love working with. We’ve raised $7m from exceptional fintech investors, including Northzone (original backers of Zettle, Trustpilot, Klarna) and Connect (first investor into Typeform, Citymapper).
