This varied role will see you collaborating across teams to craft compelling campaigns, enhance digital storytelling, and ensure our messaging aligns with our mission and values—all within a regulated environment. Your Role Working closely with the Marketing Manager, you’ll help shape and deliver the charity’s social media strategy, driving platform growth, audience engagement, and ensuring alignment with wider marketing objectives. You’ll develop and maintain the social media policy, ensuring best practices are followed while staying on top of industry trends. A key focus will be expanding our presence on TikTok, Reddit, Facebook, and YouTube, as well as LinkedIn, Instagram and X/Bluesky, identifying opportunities to grow engagement and reach new audiences. You’ll also build strong stakeholder relationships, ensuring social media activity supports wider projects, campaigns, and policy initiatives. Alongside strategy, you’ll be hands-on with business-as-usual activity, working closely with the Social Media Executive to oversee content planning, scheduling, and performance monitoring. You’ll ensure content is engaging, on-brand, and aligned with key objectives while supporting day-to-day social media management. Using performance data, you’ll refine content strategies and optimize engagement, working with acquisition and performance teams to align organic and paid social strategies. This is a great opportunity to shape the charity’s digital presence, balancing strategic input with the practical delivery of impactful content. About You We are looking for a Social Media Lead with experience using a wide range of social media and third-party platforms, and a solid understanding of social trends, algorithms, and best practices. You should have a practical understanding of how to engage different audiences across multiple platforms. Experience working on social media strategies, content planning, scheduling, and content creation is important. You’ll also have experience using online monitoring tools and analytics to help track performance and provide insights. An understanding of paid social advertising would be a plus. You’ll need to be highly organised and methodical. with a natural creative flair for content, and an ability to manage relationships with key stakeholders at all levels.
