The Building Design Consultancy is an energetic and forward-thinking group of professionals tasked with the design, project management and delivery of a wide variety of construction projects.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented Technical Support Officer to work under the direction of the Building Consultancy Manager to provide a full technical support service. This will include general administrative duties, together with reviews, monitoring and production of technical reports, and analytical data to support the delivery of the service.
You will be required to provide advice and make recommendations on service delivery to all key stakeholders, ensuring standards required by the Council and clients in terms of performance and advice are adhered to, and to help implement the Council's procurement strategy for construction-related services.
Minimum Qualifications: Applicants should be qualified for the NQF Level 3 qualification e.g. AS and A-levels, NVQs Level 3, Applied A Levels, BTEC First Certificates and Diplomas, City and Guilds Advanced Craft Part 3, or NQF Level 4 Certificates of Higher Education Level in a relevant subject or be able to evidence the equivalent level of knowledge gained through work experience.
It is essential that applicants are computer-literate and have proven knowledge and experience in supporting a service delivery team, with proven skills in the production of reports and analytical data.
Applicants should be forward-thinking and able to work independently, under pressure, and to deadlines.
A valid driving license and the use of a car would be essential as the position involves travel around the Borough, for which a Casual Car User allowance is payable.
