Financial Controller – £65,000 to £75,000 – Hybrid (Uxbridge, 2-3 Days On-Site) We are partnering with a global manufacturing business to recruit a Financial Controller for a 6 month fixed-term contract, with a strong potential to become permanent. Based in Uxbridge, this hybrid role (2-3 days on-site) offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced finance professional ready to step into their first controller role or someone looking to broaden their leadership experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.In the role of Financial Controller, you’ll take ownership of the day-to-day financial operations, leading a small team and driving financial performance and control. Your key responsibilities will include: Delivering accurate monthly management accounts, forecasts, and financial reports. Leading month-end close processes and ensuring timely balance sheet reconciliations. Managing, mentoring, and developing a team of three finance staff. Preparing and presenting insightful financial information to the senior leadership team. Overseeing external audit processes and ensuring all statutory and audit requirements are met. Driving budgeting processes, collaborating closely with departmental leaders to ensure effective cost management. Reviewing and improving existing financial processes and controls to enhance efficiency. Leading stock analysis and control, including identifying slow-moving inventory and recommending improvements. Managing fixed assets and capitalisation processes. Coordinating R&D tax credit processes, ensuring accurate recording and compliance. About You Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA). Strong background in manufacturing or similar product-based environments. Solid knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and cost control. Proactive and hands-on approach with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Confident communicator with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels across the business, including internationally. Package & Location Salary: £65,000 to £75,000 per annum (depending on experience). Hybrid working – 2-3 days per week in Uxbridge, remainder remote. Initially a 6 month fixed-term contract.
