The Role

Our Digital Auditor & Analytics team is seeking a Senior Manager with a unique blend of accounting & FSA skills, deep proficiency in data terminology, and a profound understanding of the potential unlocked through advanced data techniques. This role is pivotal in identifying and capitalising on opportunities to refine and elevate audit methodologies through this expertise.
While experience with analytics tools is not mandatory, a strong foundation in technology is required. This position is ideally suited for individuals with exceptional data literacy and advanced Excel capabilities. As a Senior Manager, you will lead data analytics on Audit engagements, navigating through the complexities of diverse operational, finance, and ERP systems.
Joining KPMG’s Clara Analytics and Technology team, you will not only lead but also champion data analytics initiatives, providing strategic direction to engagement teams across the CLR, FS & KPE portfolio.

Responsibilities
* Lead the strategic deployment of technology and Data & Analytics (D&A) across audit engagements, aligning with firm objectives.
* Analyse outputs to derive insights and identify areas for deeper testing, elevating D&A’s role in audits.
* Review D&A outputs collaboratively with technical teams to resolve discrepancies before sharing results.
* Present complex analyses to audit teams using visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI, Celonis) to simplify data interpretation.
* Lead the technology agenda on audit tenders and ignition events.
* Compile insights and findings into reports and presentations for senior management and audit committees.
* Guide audit teams on data extraction and establish efficient data sharing processes with clients.
* Ensure D&A documentation complies with requirements and maintains audit file standards.
* Manage budgets, monitor engagement finances, and ensure timely delivery within scope and budget.
Experience
* Leadership in delivering financial statement audits and applying D&A strategically.
* Strong skills in navigating complex data, with analytical curiosity regarding data’s role in assurance.
* Ability to identify root causes and provide impactful recommendations.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for engaging technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications
ACA/ACCA/ICAS qualification (or equivalent), committed to ongoing professional development.
