My clients workforce is at the heart of their organisation and they have an exciting opportunity to join their existing team of committed professionals as an Accounts Assistant with a permanent vacancy on a part-time basis, at their premises in Great Yarmouth. You will be a key member of a small office team working in a friendly family-owned business. You will need to be hardworking with meticulous attention to detail and a self-starter with excellent accountancy experience. Duties and Responsibilities: You will prepare payroll data weekly and monthly for external accountants and add journal entries on accounting softwareYou will process supplier invoicesYou will manage invoicing for all customers, including statement production and credit controlYou will look after petty cash managementYou will carry out timesheet data entryYou will post bank transactions and bank reconciliationsYou will carry out month-end adjustments including prepayment and accrualsYou will carry out the month-end preparation of management accountsYou will carry out general admin as well as any ad-hoc tasks as they arise Experience & Skills Minimum 3 years’ experienceExcellent attention to detailExperience in a similar roleKnowledge of Sage 50The ability to work to tight deadlinesThe ability to use your own initiative and deal with issues as and when they ariseYou will demonstrate a professional and courteous attitude at all timesYou will be motivated with excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively within a team environment Benefits Pension scheme25 days bank holidays (based on full time) Salary A salary of up to £13.50 per hour dependent on experienceFlexibility is offered on the number of days and hoursThis is a permanent position based at the company premises in Great Yarmouth
