Payroll Manager - Fully Remote 6 Month FTC - Up to £60,000pa We are supporting a fantastic not for profit client looking for an experienced Payroll Manager available immediately or at short notice to join an established Payroll Team on a 6 Month FTC. There is potential to be extended but no guarantee at this moment. Salary is dependent on experience but ranging up to £60,000pa and the role is based fully remote. There is an element of the role where you will be expected to be flexible and if needed to travel to London or Birmingham with the Head of HR and Head of Payroll occasionally. Responsibilities as a Payroll Manager: Overall management of the accurate and timely production of the monthly payroll. Payroll service delivery team management. Manage and co-ordinate an efficient payroll service. Provide a payroll service in-line with statutory rules/regulations and local agreements. Assist in the monthly balancing of monthly payroll. Close, effective working with HR Operations, Pensions and Benefits teams to encourage team working across the People Directorate. KPI production and analysis. Responsible for assessing and recording overpayments/ underpayments. Responsible for team management and administration within the payroll function. Responsible for ensuring the appropriate controls, analysis and checking processes are in place, kept updated and performed to verify the accuracy and completeness of input and processing and to ensure these in line with set deadlines and statutory timetables. Deputise where necessary for the Head of Payroll. Help maintain an effective payroll service for all staff, dealing with queries in regard to payroll matters. Run reports through Business Intelligence when requested. Assist with monthly and year-end processes, such as P11D's and balancing payrolls each month. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge across the team of PAYE, NI, and relevant payroll legislation. Essential requirements of the role: Candidates must be able to work autonomously and be outgoing. Candidates must strive for continuous improvement with processes. Candidates must have experience of Spinal Points. Candidates must have previous experience of performance management and have been previously a Payroll Manager. Commercial outlook and shared service management is essential. CIPP qualified (preferably).
