What you'll be doing:
* Cutting and allocation of various metallic materials
* Manage the inventory of metallic materials, ensuring compliance with specifications and quality standards.
* Coordinate with internal teams to place orders and maintain optimal stock levels.
* Maintain accurate records of material usage and stock levels, optimizing inventory for production needs.
* Collaborate with the engineering and procurement teams to identify material deviations and improvements.
* Implement and maintain best practices for material handling and storage procedures.
* Implement and maintain accurate record-keeping for all materials and components.
* Identify potential areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements in material usage.
Requirements
* Proven experience in materials management or logistics within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
* Strong understanding of inventory control processes.
* Familiarity with machining processes and associated materials.
* Strong knowledge of metallic materials properties, processing, and applications.
* Experience with quality assurance and testing methodologies for materials.
* Strong organizational skills and experience with inventory management systems.
* Proficient in using inventory management software and ERP systems.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across teams.
* Ability to analyse data and generate reports related to materials usage.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
* Commitment to safety and quality assurance practices.
* Strong communication skills, with an ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams.
