Who we are
The Cottage in the Wood is a Michelin starred Restaurant with 8 bedrooms located close to Keswick in the Lake District. We operate with a small, friendly team who strive for high standards and take pride in the work they do. The restaurant is open from Wednesday to Saturday, and offers breakfast to resident guests on Sunday.

We have a small friendly team that creates a relaxed and warm ambience, whilst applying the highest professional standards. We’re looking for like-minded individuals to join us. Bring a positive attitude and we can teach you the rest.
Responsibilities:
1. Preparing the room and bar ready for service.
2. Greeting guests in a warm and friendly manner.
3. Taking drinks and orders, and learning to make these.
4. Serving food at a high standard, learning how each dish is prepared and explaining this to our guests.
5. Implementing our steps of service in a professional manner while letting your personality shine through.
6. Cleaning the bar and room after service, polishing glasses and preparing for the following day.
Who we’re looking for:
Whilst hospitality experience is great, we’re happy to teach you everything you need to know. We’re looking for people with a strong work ethic, who have integrity and are team players. You’ll need to have empathy and care about our guests, as we’re here to enable amazing experiences. Working in our small restaurant is fast paced, if you love spinning many plates at once whilst appearing cool and calm then this could be for you.

Hours required: 12 hours – 5:30pm – 11:30pm Fri & Sat
