Job overview
The Rehabilitation at Home Service has a vacancy for a full-time Band 3 Community Technical Instructor.
The successful candidate will have a wide knowledge base and experience, be enthusiastic, hardworking and possess exceptional communication skills. You will be well supported by senior therapists, a range of colleagues and via our robust clinical supervision, training and appraisal structure. You will be part of a rehabilitation service completing assessments of need, supporting patients to regain function and maintain independence, providing rehabilitative techniques, exercises and use of adaptive equipment to ensure safety, function and ADL can be maintained in the home.

Main duties of the job
Our team of Occupational therapists, Physiotherapists and Technical instructors see people across the Wirral who are best treated in their own homes. The work is varied and interesting and no two days are ever the same. You will provide basic assessments, carry out follow-up visits, demonstrate and fit equipment ensuring it is fit for purpose and meets needs, and support the Occupational therapists and Physiotherapist to deliver treatment plans to patients to enable them to reach their rehabilitation potential. Monitoring functional abilities at each visit and reporting back to therapists any changes such as improvements or decline, concerns or new needs to enable further therapy interventions as required.

* GCSE’s @ C or above in Maths, English
* NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care or equivalent
* Good rounded general education
* Competent Computer Skills: Microsoft Office/Word and Outlook
Experience and knowledge
* Previous Healthcare Experience, working with patients/customers
* Understanding of Patient Care Activities
