Nursery Nurse
Here at Nurse Seekers, we are proud to be working on behalf of a quality TERM-TIME setting based near Torquay, Devon, who are looking for a Level 3 Qualified Nursery Practitioner to join their friendly team. The successful candidate will assist in providing high-quality childcare whilst maintaining a safe and secure environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Have a genuine passion for the Early Years sector.
2. Ensure the children are welcomed into a warm and happy environment, creating a stimulating and pleasant working atmosphere to encourage and develop children in our care.
3. Planning, preparation, and assessment of the Foundation Stage curriculum and Early Years Foundation Stage.
4. Foresee the needs of SEN children and provide physical, emotional, and intellectual guidance as appropriate, according to the requirements set out in the EYPS.
5. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism regarding each child and their family, reporting concerns about child welfare and safeguarding to the Designated Safeguarding Lead.
6. Ensure the safety of children at all times.
7. Help settle in new children and provide ongoing support under a key worker system, liaising with parents and maintaining good communications.
8. Maintain children's records and carry out assessments.
Requirements
1. Full and relevant childcare qualification at Level 3 or above, in accordance with Ofsted.
2. Experience of working in a childcare environment for a minimum of 2 years.
3. GCSE English & Maths Grade C or above.
4. Experience of working with nursery children under 2 years old for a minimum of 2 years.
