This is a great opportunity to join the Biologics software engineering group. We’re looking for an experienced software Engineering Manager, or software lead, to work on a software project focused on full-stack development. In this role, you will provide line management for a cross-functional software development team and will be responsible for team health, the performance of people, team productivity, and project management. You’ll work in partnership with technical leadership and product management to set the direction for the team. As a Software Engineering Manager your main responsibilities would include: Team health and team productivity. Line management and the performance of team members. Education in a software engineering discipline is of interest (e.g., degree, e.g., apprenticeship, e.g., online learning). Experience Individual contributor experience. Full proficiency as an individual contributor in a software engineering role. Guideline of at least 5 years in a non-Junior role. Experience and knowledge to act as adviser to direct reports. Management experience. Proven leadership experience is required; experience of managing people is desired. Developing people. Proven experience of mentoring and developing others. Best practice experience. Demonstrable experience of implementing good software engineering practice at the team level. Skills Working independently.
