The role
Supporting the Technical team ensuring that the Quality Technician role is covered at all times and all administration duties relating to Technical Projects are delivered in an accurate and timely manner. Oversee both hard and soft document control. Co-ordination of technical information and specifications. To work effectively and ensure that Food Safety, Integrity, Quality and Legality are maintained within the business.
Key accountabilities
1. Provide holiday/sickness cover for Quality Technicians across all 3 shifts
2. Gather sufficient product and process knowledge to enable a positive contribution to the factory specification process
3. Assist with in-house and customer launch paths from a development and technical perspective, working to appropriate deadlines
4. Complete KPI tracking for site technical functions, ensuring that all relevant reports are produced and distributed on specified time
5. Management of label creation and checks to be conducted as required and to set deadlines
6. Manage and maintain product data spreadsheets and documentation
7. Accurately complete new line forms (QAS) for customers in a timely manner
8. Create Quality photo standards for inspections and taste panels. Highlight missing standards to Quality Manager
9. Be part of a traceability team
10. Printers programming and Auto coding update
11. COC & COA Management and linking them to SG / SAP system
12. Management of acceptance of Raw Materials and Primary packaging on receipt of Certificates of Conformance and Analysis specific to the consignment; define and check critical data for relevant tests, as well as ensure that the value is within defined critical limits Manage and keep database up to date
13. Aid all appropriate allergen risk assessments are in place from raw materials through to finished product. Materials requiring specific handling to be identified to all departments
14. Provide support where necessary to other areas within the technical function to enable departmental targets and deadlines to be achieved

Skills & experience
1. Previous experience within an administrative role is essential
2. Previous experience within a Technical or Quality Assurance role is essential
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all levels within the organisation
4. Ability to multitask and understand departmental priorities.
5. Excellent accuracy and attention to detail skill
6. Computer literate with a working knowledge of all Microsoft office package
7. Self-motivated and ability to work autonomously
8. Previous experience of working within Food Manufacturing is essential
9. Level 2 Food Safety for Manufacturing Certificate
