Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join our team of specialist oncology and haematology pharmacists.
You will be based at the new, state-of-the-art treatment centre at the Broomfield Hospital site and an integral member of the multi-disciplinary team, working to provide excellent care to oncology and haematology patients throughout the Trust.
In return for your hard work and commitment, we will give you the opportunity to develop your skills in a friendly structured environment supported by an excellent team. You will be provided with the necessary supervision and training to develop as a specialist pharmacist and there are many opportunities to undertake additional post-graduate qualifications.
Previous experience of work within the acute hospital setting is desirable.

Main duties of the job
1. To assist in providing and maintaining a safe and efficient pharmaceutical service to haematology and oncology patients.
2. You will work with the Principal Clinical Pharmacist and other senior members of staff to develop services within the Trust.
3. You will assist the Principal Clinical Pharmacist in providing clinical training and supervision of other departmental staff.

Person specification
Education & Qualification
* Certificate in pharmacy practice or equivalent clinical experience (1 year post-registration acute NHS experience)
* Diploma in clinical pharmacy
Knowledge & Experience
* Previous NHS hospital experience
* Previous oncology/haematology experience
