About the Role
As a Reliability Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in a dynamic team ensuring our equipment is efficient, reliable, and well-maintained to meet production goals. You will lead efforts to:
* Achieve and improve Asset Care key performance metrics through effective maintenance, repair, problem-solving, and improvement of assets and their availability across the site.
* Deliver site compliance agenda - PUWER, PSSR, Fixed electrical testing etc.
* Contribute to Reliability centered maintenance (RCM) studies on your lines, ensuring criticality assessments are up to date and failure modes are addressed in our maintenance plans.
* Review and improve our maintenance strategy, ensuring a proactive and condition-based engineering department.
* Review major breakdowns ensuring root causes are identified and linked back into the maintenance plan.
* Use data analysis to scope and deliver ‘improvement projects’ that support compliance, waste, cost, and performance reliability through continuous improvement.
* Participate in information sharing and team working, supporting activities within the company, including providing technical knowledge and collaborating with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).
* Support capital work, including installation, commissioning, and testing within the area as required.
* Work proactively with Operators, Engineers, and team leaders in situational problem solving.
* Train onsite apprentices in electrical skills, taking ownership of their development.
* Engage in Daily Tier meetings and performance-based consultations to address persistent performance issues.
* Anticipate issues and lead solution-driven initiatives with the wider engineering team.
* Provide technical support during major breakdowns and machine setups and overhauls.
About You
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented professional with the following qualifications and attributes:
* Recognised Electrical or Mechanical degree with an HNC or equivalent.
* Skilled in diagnosing and repairing complex machinery faults.
* Experience with problem-solving techniques such as 5 Whys, RCPS, and familiarity with maintenance systems like SAP.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable with data-driven decision-making.
* Knowledge of Reliability/Maintenance methodologies.
* Fault finding expertise.
* Leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and mentor others.
* Excellent communicator and a collaborative team player.
* Conscientious, detail-oriented, and solution-focused.
* Positive, adaptable, and committed to safety and quality standards.
