Job description Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Workshop Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in engineering principles and be adept at working with various technical systems. This role involves hands-on engineering tasks, system design, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance of our workshop operations. The Workshop Engineer will play a crucial role in developing innovative solutions and enhancing our engineering capabilities. The successful candidate will have mechanical experience ideally from commercial vehicles or plant hire sectors or relevant experience in mechanical fitting & welding repairs. An understanding of basic vehicle/plant electrics and hydraulics would be desirable but not as essential. A willingness to learn and ability to work to time constraints and customers specifications is essential. A full driving licence is essential. The role will involve: * Disassembling and assembling body mounted equipment. * Diagnosis of faults on chassis mounted equipment. * Carrying out body refurbishment repairs to a high standard. * Mig welding repairs. * Ensuring jobs are completed to company standards and instructions. * Working at customers’ and company premises as required. * Completing all relevant paperwork and or documentation relating to daily work.
