Job Title: Waste Partnership Strategy Officer
Salary: £42,026 - £44,857 per annum

The Role
Are you passionate about Waste? Do you want to help shape the future of Waste Management in Worcestershire and Herefordshire? If so, the Council and its partners are seeking to recruit a Waste Partnership Strategy Officer to deliver Simpler Recycling and make a difference to every single resident in Herefordshire and Worcestershire.
Working and reporting to Herefordshire and Worcestershire’s strategic waste management board, you will be responsible for engaging with Government, Local Authorities and key stakeholders to understand and assess future waste service requirements.
You will need to have significant experience of working within the waste management sector alongside a detailed understanding of the Resources and Waste Strategy for England 2018, the Environment Act, and the Environmental Protection Act. It is the targets and objectives set out in these documents that you will be working to deliver across the Partnership.
You will use your experience to lead in the delivery activities and undertake service option assessments to explore how best to produce improved performance and efficiency across the Partnership.
