CY Resourcing is excited to partner with a reputable public sector organisation in their search for a part-time HR Advisor (22.5 hours per week). While CIPD qualifications are not required, candidates should have solid prior experience in HR, with a strong understanding of HR processes and best practices. Job Purpose:
1. Provide expert, high-quality HR advice and support across a wide range of HR matters to schools and academies.
2. Contribute to the growth and development of the HR function within schools, aligning services with organisational values and identifying opportunities for business development with both existing and new clients.
3. Foster strong, productive relationships with clients, built on credibility, exceptional customer service, and solution-driven guidance.
4. Deepen knowledge of both the commercial aspects of the organisation and HR, ensuring that services are aligned with the business needs and deliver added value.
5. Lead on projects or specific HR issues requiring specialised knowledge and expertise, delivering on key objectives and client requirements.
6. Offer a strategic, operational HR advisory service that supports performance improvement, while helping schools to achieve their objectives, strategic goals, and values.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Reporting to the HR Manager (Schools), the postholder will be responsible for the delivery of HR services within agreed timeframes, quality standards, and budgets. Working autonomously and under the guidance of the HR Services Manager and HR Manager (Schools), the postholder will apply professional judgment to ensure compliance with best employment practices.
Key Activities:
1. Provide a professional and credible HR advisory service to headteachers, governors, and other key stakeholders across a wide range of HR topics.
2. Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, underpinned by a deep understanding of their organisational culture, goals, and values, while ensuring the highest levels of customer care and service delivery.
3. Work closely with clients to understand their specific needs, offering tailored, practical HR solutions that align with best practice, employment law, and the organisation's strategic goals.
4. Advise clients on a broad range of HR matters, including employment law, employee terms and conditions, and policies. Specific areas include:
* Employment practices, pay, and conditions as per the School Teachers' Pay and Conditions Document, Burgundy Book, Green Book, and School Staffing Regulations.
* School-specific HR issues such as performance management, recruitment of senior leadership roles (headteachers, deputy and assistant headteachers), attendance, disciplinary procedures, grievance handling, and redundancy processes.
* Provide guidance on HR issues relating to safeguarding concerns and allegations involving staff.
* Offer advice and support on policies, procedures, and HR issues for non-school clients, ensuring alignment with employment law and best practice.
