Tayside Nutrition and Dietetic Service have a vacancy in our Community Food and Health Team. We are looking for an experienced individual who can lead our small team of Health Improvement Practitioners and Health Promotion Officers. The post holder must be able to demonstrate relevant post graduate experience of working within the environment of public health/health improvement.
The post holder will lead on community-based initiatives and will contribute to local and national frameworks and strategies. They will focus on reducing health inequalities and addressing nutritional wellbeing by contributing to the whole systems approaches to improving health outcomes for people living in Tayside. The post holder will work using coproduction methodology and will link closely with colleagues in the Directorate of Public Health and Nutrition and Dietetics.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, facilitation and leadership skills and the ability to demonstrate good team working are required.
The post holder will be part of the Nutrition and Dietetic Leadership team which comprises of team leads and service leads from across the service. The Tayside Nutrition & Dietetic Service promotes collaborative working across all our teams and with our partners in different settings and organisations. This enables and encourages the development and implementation of innovative practice. It also allows for extensive peer support and opportunities for professional development. We are committed to the training of dietetic students, medical students and other healthcare professionals.
Non-registered staff will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.
